Manuel V. Pangilinan, known as MVP, is Chairman and CEO of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), PLDT, Smart Communications, and Meralco, and Managing Director & CEO of First Pacific Company Limited, overseeing Philippine conglomerate interests in telecommunications, power, infrastructure, and healthcare.
Under Pangilinan, MPIC has expanded into telecommunications, media, food, power distribution, urban water concessions, tollways, and healthcare, built through strategic acquisitions and partnerships with companies including PLDT, Smart Communications, and TV5 Network.
Pangilinan's honors include the ASEAN Icon in Business Excellence and Nation Building (2025), a Lifetime Contributor Award from the Asia CEO Awards (2025), and the Order of Lakandula from the Philippine government, among decades of earlier recognitions.
