Jacqueline Ang Appointed to Petron’s Board of Directors
Jacqueline Ang takes on a much bigger role in Petron with her appointment to the board of directors.
Jacqueline Ang, Petron’s Vice President for Procurement, is one of the newly appointed members of the company’s board of directors. Her father, Ramon Ang, is the Chairman of the Board.
Aside from Ang, Petron executive Emmanuel Eraña has also joined the board of directors.
Their appointment comes after the passing of two of Petron’s directors, lawyer Estelito P. Mendoza and Former Environment Secretary Horacio C. Ramos.
Who is Jacqueline Ang?
A graduate of Ateneo De Manila University with a degree in Economics, Ang has held various positions within her father’s conglomerate. She was part of Corporate Finance in 2009 as well as Mergers and Acquisitions from 2010 to 2014.
Prior to being named Vice President for Procurement, she was the Assistant Vice President for Procurement, a position she held since 2018.
In 2023, Ang was named the Executive Director of Petron Malaysia in place of her father.
Ramon Ang’s Children Take on More Leadership Roles
With Jacqueline’s appointment to Petron’s board of directors, Ramon Ang’s children are becoming more involved in their father’s conglomerate.
Early this year, Jacqueline’s brother, John Paul, was appointed director of Ginebra San Miguel Inc. John Paul likewise sits on Petron’s board of directors and currently serves as the Director and the President and Chief Operating Officer of San Miguel Corporation (SMC).
John Paul Ang holds various executive positions in other listed companies, including Eagle Cement Corporation, San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc. (SMFB), San Miguel Equity Investments, Inc., and San Miguel Global Power Holdings Corp., among others.
Two other daughters of Ramon Ang have also been named to new positions recently. Monica Ang-Mercado has been named SMFB Chief Finance Officer, replacing Ildefonso Alindogan, while Cecile Ang has been named Vice President of SMC’s New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation.

Monica Ang-Mercado is a board director in SMC, Premier Capital Venture Corp., and Q-Tech Alliance Holdings Inc., among others.
