Dazed China, a fashion and culture title, is conceived as a platform for Gen Z Chinese creatives.
Dazed Media and Meta Media Group today announce Dazed China, a new edition of the global fashion and culture title, launching in June 2026.
The quarterly magazine will spotlight emerging voices across fashion, art, music, film, and digital culture, to reflect how Gen Z is reshaping identity, aesthetics, and cultural power in China and beyond.
The launch marks the next chapter in the long-term partnership between Dazed Media and Meta Media Group, which began in 2017 with the launch of Nowness China.
“Dazed has always been about giving space to young voices before the rest of the world catches on,” said Jefferson Hack, co-founder and CEO of Dazed Media. “Dazed China will platform the next generation that’s shaping culture in real time: online, offline, and on their own terms.”
China’s Gen Z is one of the most creatively fluent generations in the world, according to Thomas Shao, chairman and founder of Meta Media Group.
“They’re visually literate, digitally native, and culturally confident,” he said. “Dazed China speaks directly to that energy.”
“This launch reflects our belief in youth-driven media that doesn’t just document culture, but actively participates in shaping what comes next.”
Dazed China will publish original, locally produced content alongside stories from the global Dazed network – creating a space for exchange between China’s creative communities and the wider world.
