The 2026 State of HR report reveals that only 35% of Filipino employees receive role-specific AI upskilling.

Despite a growing number of Filipino employees using artificial intelligence (AI) in their work tasks, only 35% surveyed said they receive role-specific AI upskilling training from their employers, according to the 2026 State of HR Report.

29% of respondents said their employer did not provide role-specific AI upskilling training, while 36% were not sure if their organization offered such programs.

The 2026 State of HR Report, conducted and published by human resource platform Sprout Solutions and behavioural change consultancy firm BS Work, studied the experiences and sentiments of 3,516 Filipino employees on how AI impacts their work and organizations.

Sprout Solutions and BS Work unveiled and released the report during the State of HR Summit 2026, held on July 8, 2026, at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati.

The finding on employee AI training does not mean organizations do not offer AI training, the report noted, suggesting that employers may only provide general training instead of role-specific programs. The lack of visibility and awareness of such programs within organizations can also be a factor in this result.

How Are Filipinos Using AI at Work?

Other reasons for employees using AI include Thinking & Decision-Making, Computer and Digital Tasks, Management and Coordination, Service and Care Tasks, Creative and Content Creation, and Physical and Operational Tasks.
