One of the accolades won by SULÀ Spirits is the Red Award at the 2024 Good Design Awards.

SULÀ Spirits, a premium Filipino liqueur brand, made an extraordinary mark in 2024 by earning 12 international awards. These prestigious honors celebrate the brand’s outstanding craftsmanship, distinctive flavors, and deep cultural resonance

As a brand, SULÀ Spirits is committed to showcasing the Philippines’ finest locally sourced ingredients and craftsmanship through award-winning flavors. The brand name “SULÀ” means “radiant gem” in Filipino, and this perfectly captures its vision of celebrating the country’s beauty and heritage.

SULÀ aims to redefine luxury in the spirits industry, strengthening its presence in the local market while also laying the groundwork for future global expansion. This ensures that Filipino-crafted luxury liqueur earns its place among the world’s finest.

Awards Won by SULÀ Spirits’ Flavors

Among the prestigious awards won by SULÀ Spirits are the Country Winner and Gold recipient for SULÀ Chocolate and the Bronze Award in the Taste Category for SULÀ Coffee at the 2024 World Liqueur Awards.

At the Sip Awards 2024, SULÀ Coffee won the Platinum Award and Innovation Award while SULÀ Coconut received the Platinum Award. SULÀ Chocolate, on the other hand, won the Best of Class – Platinum Award.

Aside from these, SULÀ Coconut brought home the Bronze Award from the San Francisco World Spirits Award 2024.

Design Awards Received by SULÀ Spirits

In addition to the aforementioned awards, SULÀ Spirits also bagged design-related honors. At the 2024 World Liqueur Awards, SULÀ Coconut won two Silvers and a Bronze in the Design Category. SULÀ Spirits also bagged the Red Award (Image Making) at the 2024 Good Design Awards.

Inspired by the Philippines’ moniker as the “Pearl of the Orient Seas,” SULÀ features a spherical bottle top symbolizing a giant pearl, while its sculpted curves are meant to evoke the gentle flow of ocean waves, creating a refined and elegant aesthetic.

These bottles are meant to be more than just containers of some of the country’s finest liqueurs. Once emptied, the bottle can be transformed into a decorative lamp. This can be done by inserting a small light source, blending sustainability with artistry.

Commitment to Excellence and Sustainability

SULÀ Spirits’ strong commitment to sustainability is seen through how its sourcing and production processes support local farmers and adhere to environmentally friendly practices. SULÀ works directly with chocolate, coffee, and coconut farmers in order to uphold ethical sourcing and sustainable agricultural methods.

This enables the brand to source only the finest raw ingredients—premium-grade Davao chocolate, aromatic Batangas coffee, and rich, fresh coconuts—crafting three distinct tropical flavor profiles that appeal to a global palate.

In addition to its dedication to sustainability, its commitment to excellence is the heart of SULÀ Spirits’ success. Its focus on authenticity and superior ingredients has earned SULÀ a reputation as a premium option that meets and surpasses global industry standards.

As a brand that highlights the Philippines’ agricultural richness and artisanal heritage, SULÀ stands out in the craft and specialty spirits market, offering a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

Frequently Asked Questions

SULÀ Spirits captured major taste distinctions, highlighted by SULÀ Chocolate earning the dual titles of Country Winner and Gold recipient. Additionally, the brand’s artisanal expression, SULÀ Coffee, secured the Bronze Award within the competitive Taste Category matrix.

The SIP Awards operates as an internationally recognized consumer-judged spirits competition, removing industrial trade bias through blind panels. Under this evaluation, SULÀ Coffee captured both the Platinum and Innovation Awards, SULÀ Coconut earned a Platinum Medal, and SULÀ Chocolate achieved the premium Best of Class – Platinum Award.

The bespoke bottle architecture draws visual inspiration from the country’s moniker, the “Pearl of the Orient Seas.” It features a custom spherical pearl geometric top paired with a sculpted wave body container, which captured the Red Award in Image Making at the 2024 Good Design Awards and multiple design medals at the World Liqueur Awards.

The brand engineers its glass vessels for long-term circular utility rather than immediate disposal. Once the premium liqueur is consumed, the internal glass cavity is physically structured to hold a secondary light source, transforming the empty artisan packaging into a functional luxury decorative home lamp.

SULÀ operates a direct-to-farm supply chain network across the Philippine archipelago to guarantee bean-to-bottle traceability. The premium ingredients are isolated by regional microclimates: single-origin cacao is secured from Davao growers, aromatic robusta crops are harvested in Batangas, and nutrient-dense coconuts are processed directly at local source plantations.
