Levanto, a restaurant hub in Jupiter Street, Makati City, served as the venue for the June 23 launch of “Crave,” a dining platform by Lifestyle Asia, The Business Manual’s sister publication.

LA Crave is a multi-platform dining vertical that covers the people, ingredients, and craftsmanship shaping contemporary dining culture for its aspirational audience.

The hub, which opened in March 2026, was about “creating a one-of-a-kind restaurant hub where diverse cuisines complement each other, rather than engage in cutthroat competition,” said Donn Robert Ang, Levanto Building owner and president of furniture exporter Penscott Corporation.

“Simply put, it’s the world on a plate, on top of a furniture showroom building,” he told The Business Manual in a June 29 email.

Penscott Corporation, he said, plans to replicate the premium dining concept at another location.

Food service sales in the Philippines were projected to return to pre-pandemic levels of $14 billion in 2025, with continued growth expected in 2026, according to a December 30, 2025 report by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Manila. This sales growth in 2025 and 2026 is driven by the expansion of quick service restaurant chains and international restaurant concepts, which increase their market presence by opening new outlets.

The Philippine government, moreover, has launched the Food and Gastronomy Tourism Strategic Framework and Roadmap 2024-2029, positioning food and gastronomy as a central pillar of its tourism strategy.
