UM Philippines’ Impact Day 2025 Champions Women’s Empowerment and Local Crafts

Media agency UM Philippines successfully hosted Impact Day 2025 on July 11 in Barangay Barangka, Marikina City.
Held in partnership with the Community Crafts Association of the Philippines (CCAP), the event provided skills development and livelihood empowerment to the women of Barangay Barangka, This year’s focus is Community, as one of UM’s core values (Community, Courage, Curiosity), reinforcing its connection to local initiatives and causes.

Impact Day 2025 hosted a handicraft workshop to Barangay Barangka, offering women both a creative outlet and a chance at economic empowerment.

Participants were taught how to create marketable goods using both traditional and modern crafting techniques. They were also educated on how to monetize their creations through a session called Craft to Cash: The 5 Steps of Live Selling Success, which provided practical knowledge on tapping the live commerce economy.
